Make your own mayonnaise.
Recipe:
1 egg
1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard
1 tablespoon white wine vinegar (or lemon juice)
1 cup Olive or Avocado Oil
Directions: Put the egg, mustard and vinegar in a 2 pint jar, top with oil. Take a stick blender and emulsify the ingredients from the bottom slowly to the top, push stick blender up and down until all the oil is incorporated and the mayonnaise thick. Store for up to 1 week refrigerated. Enjoy!
This recipe puts you in control of ingredients, healthy oils, no stabilizers or sugars, no preservatives and it takes a few minutes to make. A jar of something similar can be expensive.
